Therabill has been a wonderful electronic billing program. I don’t have to pay someone else to do it. I can do it myself. I love the progress note feature the best, and second is the billing program for invoices to clients. Therabill is easy to learn and the support from Therabill is excellent. I am a Speech & Language Pathologist, Behavior Analyst, and a new subscriber to this service. After conducting meetings with 8 similar software companies already, and not completely satisfied with the lack of various components I would need/like or the complicated interfaces, I come across Therabill, yes originally number 9 on the randomized list.
My first impressions were….this is too good to be true. Everything I am looking for and more, easy to learn interface, lower cost than any of the software programs I looked at….and last but the most important…..(drum roll)…..JOE!!!!!!!…what can I say that hasn’t been said…Joe is the man!!!! he is professional, experienced, extremely
knowledgeable, considerate of individual needs, ALWAYS a quick response to my messages and he is coming up with great ideas to add regularly. I REALLY do wish I had come across this man and his genius evolving creation long ago and now that I have “LIFE IS GOOD” full of more leisure time, increased number of clients, increased revenue, and an organized professional practice.
I would just like to say that TheraBill has the best support you can get. Joe Dundas is very helpful whenever you need him. He answers quick even at the wee hours of the night. He doesn’t care about the time, whether early morning or late at night or even weekends, he will e-mail you and work on your problems. I absolutely love Therabill! I have been struggling with processing Medicare claims for over a year in my private practice. At one point, I used a billing service and even they couldn’t get clean claims through.

Four months ago I took a position as an office assistant to an Occupational Therapist. I have some computer skills but absolutely no experience in the medical billing portion of the work. When it came time to be set up with a billing system, the OT said she heard good things about TheraBill through other therapy professionals. I decided to give it a try. FreeHipaa -FreeHipaa would constantly go down without warning. The last time, they shut down for almost a month. I would also have trouble with healthcare claims just not going through, even though, on my end it showed they were sent. I lost a lot of money that way. There was no way to contact anyone for support and they were unresponsive.
Solace – I tried to switch to Solace but it was far too confusing. I could never figure it out without the spreadsheet in front of me. I made so many mistakes because it was complicated, that I lost money. Whenever I tried to call them they were surly and crabby and would just tell me to look at the spreadsheet. I also had the same problem with them slowing down or having trouble intermittently. I switched back to FreeHipaa.
TheraBill – A physical therapist I worked with recommended TheraBill. I tried it. It was amazing. It is far easier than FreeHipaa and infinitely easier to use than Solace. The man who started it (Joe Dundas) is the husband of an Early Intervention Speech Pathologist who saw his wife was struggling with healthcare billing and created this health care billing and practice management program. He answers the phone on the first ring and walks you through everything. He individualized my billing program specifically for me. For my ongoing kids, at the end of the day, I hit one button and it automatically sends the electronic invoices to the Early Intervention Central Billing Office – ONE BUTTON! For my eval kids, it has defaults that I requested so that I fill out six lines and that is it. Also, the most important thing – my payments came far faster with TheraBill than with either Solace or FreeHipaa – with far less errors.
I have been using TheraBill for all of my healthcare billing needs. My physical therapy billing used to take me hours to complete. TheraBill is much more efficient, allowing me to focus more of my time actually seeing clients. Even with having to submit duplicate physical therapy claims to the Early Intervention Central Billing Office once insurance Explanation of Benefits are obtained, this is very quick. I am so glad that I finally have everything in one program.
